Our Story

How We Met

We met the way every romantic story begins: in a truly toxic workplace. We were just two software developers trying to survive the chaos. What started as a great friendship, full of tech debates and sarcastic comments during meetings, slowly became something more. Jim thought I was helpful. I thought he was a nerd; smart, kind, and quietly thoughtful.

Growing Together

There wasn’t a single moment when things changed. It was a slow, steady build that grew through shared conversations, trust, and laughter. Over the years, we’ve loved hiking, biking, and camping - though lately, we mostly talk about getting back to it. We love traveling together, discovering new cafés, and spending long drives listening to podcasts.

Jim has also embraced Bhavi's Indian roots wholeheartedly, from lighting diyas during Diwali to joining in for festive meals and family celebrations. It's one of the many things that make this relationship feel like home.

The Proposal

Jim proposed in 2024, on a sunny, breezy day at Niagara Falls. He found a quiet little trail where we could peek through the trees at the water. No crowds, no fanfare, just the two of us and the falls in the background. It was simple, beautiful, and perfectly us.
